As the Principal of Fissinger Fundraising LLC, he leverages his 30 years of strategic fundraising counsel to drive success for his clients. Prior to establishing his own firm, Peter dedicated 29 years to the nationally renowned consulting firm, Campbell & Company, where he played a pivotal role as President and CEO for 14 years. Under his leadership, the firm experienced remarkable growth, tripling in both revenue and headcount, while introducing three innovative service lines.

Peter specializes in offering strategic counsel to C-suite executives, board members, chief development officers, and development teams. His clients, under his guidance, have collectively raised over $10 billion. His extensive experience spans across diverse sectors, including education (independent schools and higher education), healthcare, arts and culture, human services, and community foundations.

A respected figure in the nonprofit community, Peter Fissinger has held the position of Chair at the Giving Institute from 2021–2023, the leading association of businesses serving nonprofit organizations in institutional advancement. He has also served as the Treasurer of the Giving Institute and Chair of the Advisory Council on Methodology for Giving USA. Additionally, Peter has served on the Board of Managers and Executive Committee of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, a $100 million human service organization. Currently, he remains an active member of the Advisory Council of his local YMCA in Naperville, IL.

Peter's commitment to professional development is evident through his role as a Past President of AFP Chicago Chapter, and his involvement in helping to establish the Generosity Commission as part of the Working Committee. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Peter Fissinger has shared his wealth of knowledge on advancement-related topics through national webinars and presentations at both national and regional conferences.
